Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector
Roleplaying on the edge of a system in crisis.
Wake up, Sleeper. No, you aren’t dreaming… we just revealed Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, a sequel to Citizen Sleeper being developed by Jump Over the Age and to be published by Fellow Traveller.
We dropped the news today with an animated trailer, which introduces the game’s narrative set-up plus a few of the key characters - the Sleeper, their colleague Serafin, and gang leader Laine.
Excited? So are we! And without further ado, we’ll pass the mic to the developer themselves to tell you more.
A message from the developer:
Welcome back to the Helion system.
It’s been more than a year since Citizen Sleeper released, and the response has been incredible; from players' personal stories to award ceremonies. And now, in announcing a sequel, Guillaume, Amos, and myself are about to embark on another journey.
Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector will take you to a new location, put you in the declining body of a new Sleeper, and once again ask you to build a life for yourself among the stars. But this time you have a ramshackle ship and a crew you’ve recruited, both of which need you to steer them through a system-wide crisis.
I’ll be once again drawing on the freedom and flexibility of TTRPGs, the change and chaos of dice and the sense of foreboding and progress a slowly filling clock creates, but also bringing fresh ideas, characters and systems into the mix.
We’ll be revealing more throughout the year, and the best way to make sure you don’t miss out is to sign up to the Jump Over the Age substack, where right now some strange transmissions are filtering through...
Turn your eyes starward, and I’ll see you in the Belt.
Citizen Sleeper is available now for PC & Mac, PlayStation consoles, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox including Xbox Game Pass. The game is also currently on sale on PC and Nintendo Switch.
There’s so much more for you out there, Sleeper. Eager to dive deeper into the Citizen Sleeper universe? Sign-up for the Helion Dispatches, a new series of narrative transmissions from the refugee ship, the Pilgrim Seed. They’ll be released for free through the Jump Over the Age Substack, with the first scheduled to arrive this week.
