Times & Galaxy is a narrative journalism adventure, where you do the legwork. Each cycle, you’ll pick your assignment, then head off to explore, chase leads and interview sources. It’s also the latest game to join the Fellow Traveller label and we’re thrilled to reveal it to you today.

Once you have all the info you need, use the game’s unique Build-a-Story™ mechanic to create your article from everything you’ve learned. Your choices impact the quality and tone of the story and how both your editors and readers will react to it. Over time, the choices in each story will start to shape the reputation and popularity of the Times & Galaxy. So hey, no pressure!

Between assignments, you’ll get to explore the Scanner, the massive starship that houses the Times & Galaxy’s newsroom. Onboard you’ll find a diverse and colorful staff of more than twenty crewmates including your fellow reporters, the editorial staff, pilots and ship’s crew. 

But the Scanner is more than just the holopaper’s headquarters. It’s where you’ll sleep, eat, work, relax and get to know just some of the cast of 100 alien weirdos you’ll meet throughout the game.

Times & Galaxy is the latest game from Copychaser, the creators of beloved indie, Speed Dating for Ghosts. Many of the writers were also real journalists in their former lives, so you can bank on the fact that this game with translucent alien dogs, lizard people and space ghosts is authentic with a capital A.

Copychaser and Fellow Traveller are so excited to bring you this truly unique adventure game in 2024. You’ll step into the metal boots of the first-ever robo reporter, chase down leads, break system-rocking news, get quotes, make friends (or enemies) and eat a dirt pie! It’s your solar system to explore, your story to tell and your job on the line, intern.

Times & Galaxy will also be appearing at LudoNarraCon 2023 (May 4th - 8th) with a playable demo and a gameplay stream recorded exclusively for the event. The demo offers around 90 mins of gameplay if you’re the type to explore, and the stream will feature the game’s writers playing through the demo.

A celebration of narrative indie games in the style of a digital-only convention, LudoNarraCon is hosted by Fellow Traveller. The five-day event will see 44 exhibiting games, 16 panels & fireside chats, over 35 demos from up-and-coming indie narrative games, and a huge story-rich games sale.
