Join us in celebrating the 2024 Game Devs of Color expo!

Afterlove EP, Wander Stars, Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo, and 1000xRESIST are all participating in the ninth expo amplifying the creative power held by people of color in games.

Grab your keyboards and controllers: we’re thrilled to be participating in this year’s Game Devs of Color Expo with four titles! Kicking off today and running through til September 21, the expo celebrates the incredible creativity and talent of people of color in the game dev community.

We’re honored to have a range of our current and upcoming titles included in this year’s celebrations:

Afterlove EP: hailing from Indonesia, the Pikselnesia team is proud to bring their capital city of Jakarta to life in this adventure about love, loss, and finding your own way forward. Afterlove EP is a blend of visual novel, narrative adventure, and rhythm game featuring the distinctive, manga-inspired art of renowned Indonesian artist Soyatu and an original soundtrack from Indonesian indie band L’Alphalpha.

Afterlove EP will be launching in early 2024 and has a playable demo currently available on Steam.

Wander Stars: Paper Castle Games, the Venezuelan-born team behind Wander Stars, are excited to feature in their first Game Devs of Color Expo. Their upcoming anime turn-based RPG, Wander Stars, is inspired by 90’s anime and Saturday morning cartoons. Featuring an incredibly deep combat system and a wonderful cast of characters, Wander Stars will have you seeking to become a Kiai master!

Wander Stars was recently announced to be launching in 2025 and currently has a playable demo.

Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo: new to the scene, Galla Games are thrilled to be participating in the Game Devs of Color Expo with their first game, Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo. Use your wits, kindness, and maybe a good whack to gather clues, items, and evidence in this emotional and whimsical journey!

Tune into the Game Devs of Color Direct stream for a special segment on Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo. Wishlist the game now to explore a vibrant, Latin American inspired afterlife. An extensive demo is available to trial now and Galla Games recently posted their first dev blog post.

1000xRESIST: Asian-Canadian diaspora developers, sunset visitor 斜陽過客, are honored to once again be participating in the Game Devs of Color Expo. Since appearing in pre-release at the event last year, 1000xRESIST launched in May 2024 to both critical and audience acclaim. The team is returning with a Q&A session recorded especially for this year’s expo.

Hailed by IGN as a “revolution in storytelling”, 1000xRESIST now has an Overwhelmingly Positive score with over 1,000 reviews on Steam and over 25,000 players across all platforms.

The three-time IGF award-nominated title is currently on sale for 20% off as part of the Fellow Traveller Publisher Sale, and will be launching in Japan with localized language support before the end of 2024.
