Progress Update!

To our wonderful Afterlove EP fans,

We hope these words find you as well as can be. Today, we wanted to share an important update about our upcoming release that we’re excited—and humbled—to bring to you.

We wanted to give you a pretty significant update as to where we are in production.

First off, we’re delighted to let you know that Afterlove EP will feature Japanese and Indonesian localization, bringing this unique experience to even more players around the world. Given Fahmi’s vision and passion for Japanese culture, combined with the popularity of the Soyatu, the game’s primary artist, localising the game into Japanese was a no brainer. We deeply hope our Japanese fans enjoy the game. We also wanted to honor the origins of Fahmi and PIKSELNESIA and make sure that, as the game is a love letter to Jakarta and our home, that folks around us would have no barriers in playing our game.

Since we hit Beta a few months back, we have done a ton of work collecting feedback through some closed playtesting rounds and with the assistance of some excellent QA houses. As the game has multiple narrative branches and a calendar, we worked closely with QA to perform logic testing and pacing the game became incredibly important to make sure our story and your choices just made sense while you explore Rama’s life and someone didn’t say “it’s nice to meet you” after you’ve already had several conversations, a coffee, and a conversation about records with them.

Our final script weighs in at over 125k words, easily a hefty novel and we can’t thank Sweet Baby Inc. enough for their assistance in helping craft Fahmi’s vision of a story of love and loss, under the direction of our Narrative Director Galuh “Sasha” Elsa. It’s been a labor, to be sure, but one we’ve done happily and are very proud of to make sure that it doesn’t just play like we want it to, but feels how we want it to.

In addition, we’re very happy to share that the game has also been sent off to the porting houses who are hard at work making sure that the game is available to as many players as we’re practically able to. So whether you’re on Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch, you’ll be able to get your hands on it on your preferred platform.

To ensure that Afterlove EP meets the high standards we’ve set for it—and that we expect—we’ve decided to shift the release date in order to polish and craft every detail as best we can while the above work is happening. We understand this might be disappointing to some, but this extra time will allow us to deliver an experience that meets not only your, but our, expectations. We get one shot at this and we want to make sure we get it right.

Our new release window is set for Early 2025, and while we know it’s a bit further out than originally planned, we truly believe it will be worth the wait. But you won’t be waiting long. We’ve started putting our release date trailer together, so we’re going to be able to give you a solid release date soon.

We’re committed to delivering an exceptional game that reflects the passion and dedication we’ve poured into it. We can’t do any less for Fahmi or the people looking forward to exploring Jakarta and following Rama’s journey.

We’re on the cusp of completing a project that’s been a true labor of love for our team, and in particular, for Fahmi, whose creative vision has shaped every aspect of this game. Afterlove EP is truly Fahmi’s masterpiece, and it’s been a remarkable journey in bringing it to life. Our aim has always been to create something truly special, and we’re almost there.

We are so grateful for your continued support. We can’t wait to share this journey with you and see how you connect with and experience Afterlove EP when it’s finally ready.

Stay tuned for more updates, and in the meantime, please feel free to reach out with any questions or thoughts. Your enthusiasm means the world to us.
